BINGLER & BROWN

Bingler & Brown started as an idea shared between two friends. Now, Melissa and Matthew have turned that idea into a reality. A common love of hard work, and a passion for wine have fused the two together.

 

 

Melissa Bingler: A local of Charlottesville, Melissa has over 30 years of experience in education, service, and hospitality management. Having traveled the world and many of its wine regions, she is putting her passion for fine wine to work. Melissa is currently furthering her wine education alongside her friend and business partner, Matthew. 

 

Matthew Brown: While a student at the University of Virginia,  Matthew's focus was politics but his heart has always been in the wine industry. He has earned his Certified Specialist of Wine designation from the Society of Wine Educators and is currently pursuing a Level IV Diploma from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. Matthew hopes to enter into the Institute of Masters of Wine in London. His diverse background includes experience in tasting room management, wine production and vineyard work, as well as wine retail and restaurant wine service.
